Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care Foundation (OTC) - Research Grants

The program targets senior researchers who are eligible to research grants of up to $50,000. The evaluation and selection process for grants is based upon strict scientific principles and committee rules in accordance with Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) criteria. Both laboratory and clinical projects are suitable, but in either case clinical relevance must be explicitly and clearly described.

Vascular Cures - Wylie Scholar Program

Vascular Cures’ Wylie Scholar Program is building a pipeline of innovators in vascular health. We provide 3-year career development grants to outstanding young vascular surgeon-scientists who combine active patient care with academic research. The award supports crucial research that enables them to compete for future research funding. Wylie Scholars become North America’s world-class vascular surgeon-scientists; many are now chiefs at major academic centers, prominent leaders in the field, and play a key role in our programs.

Society for Vascular Surgery - E.J. Wylie Traveling Fellowship

The primary purpose of the E.J. Wylie Traveling Fellowship is to provide the recipient with the opportunity to visit a number of excellent vascular surgery centers worldwide. Though brief, these visits stimulate academic inspiration, promote international exchange, and foster development of fellowship in vascular surgery. The achievement of these objectives will enhance the development of the fellow's career in vascular surgery. 

Eppley Foundation for Research - Support for Advanced Scientific Research

The Eppley Foundation supports advanced, novel, scientific research by PhDs or MDs with an established record of publication in their specialties. Candidates with newly awarded doctorates occasionally, but rarely, meet the Foundation’s requirements for advanced research. Any applicant to the Foundation must be associated with a nonprofit organization with headquarters or a branch office in the US to process the funds. Checks are not issued directly to individuals.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Clinical Fellowship

The Plastic and Reconstructive Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is a unique fellowship that offers broad exposure to reconstructive procedures after oncologic resections.

The fellows will participate in the management of complex reconstructive problems that relate to many areas in reconstructive surgery. These include breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, chest wall and extremity reconstruction, etc. The principal areas of training consist of microsurgical free tissue transfers, myocutaneous flap coverage, and breast reconstruction.

Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) - Current Concepts in Joint Replacement (CCJR) Clinical Practice Award

The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation and Current Concepts in Joint Replacement are inviting manuscripts for the OREF/CCJR Clinical Practice Awards.

Manuscripts must detail completed investigations focused on healthcare policy, clinical outcomes, or translational research that has immediate impact on the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Two awards of $2,000 each will be made.

American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society - Research Grants Program

Research Grant Opportunities in GI Motility and Neurogastroenterology

ANMS is accepting applications for the 2018 Small Grants Program. The Research Program will provide 2 grants of $30,000 each. The program will fund research projects focused on any topic area relevant to neurogastroenterology and motility. It is anticipated that one award will be made to a clinical/translational investigator and one award will be made to a basic science investigator. Applicants must have a primary appointment at an academic institution.

Stanford University Medicine - Hand & Upper Limb Fellowship

Our hand and upper limb fellowship is designed to train board eligible orthopaedic or plastic surgeons dedicated to the study of the upper limb. The multidisciplinary Chase Hand & Upper Limb Center is comprised of both orthopaedic and plastic surgeons which exposes the fellows to a wide breadth of problems affecting the hand, shoulder and elbow.
