Eppley Foundation for Research - Support for Advanced Scientific Research

The Eppley Foundation supports advanced, novel, scientific research by PhDs or MDs with an established record of publication in their specialties. Candidates with newly awarded doctorates occasionally, but rarely, meet the Foundation’s requirements for advanced research. Any applicant to the Foundation must be associated with a nonprofit organization with headquarters or a branch office in the US to process the funds. Checks are not issued directly to individuals.

National Science Foundation - Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER)

This program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards for faculty members beginning their independent careers. The intent of the program is to provide stable support at a sufficient level and duration to enable awardees to develop careers not only as outstanding researchers but also as educators demonstrating commitment to teaching, learning, and dissemination of knowledge.

L'Oreal USA - For Women in Science Fellowship

From life-saving vaccines to sustainable energy development, science is making the world better for everyone. We know that jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are the jobs of tomorrow, but today, women only make up 24 percent of STEM workers in the United States, only 14 percent of the country’s engineers and 27 percent of computer science professionals. Without appropriate female representation, the potential STEM innovations of tomorrow will be missing half of the talent in our world.

Kenneth Rainin Foundation - Innovator Awards

At the Rainin Foundation, we support high-risk research and challenge investigators to push boundaries to advance our goal of predicting and preventing Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Bay Area Lyme Foundation - Emerging Leader Awards

The Bay Area Lyme Foundation Emerging Leader Awards (ELA) recognize up-and-coming researchers bringing new approaches and creative thinking to the field of Lyme disease. These grants support new and innovative projects and aim to attract aspiring new scientific talent to the field of Lyme. Candidate applications must include a viable proposal for a proof-of-concept to be funded, in part or in sum, by the grant award.

Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation - Beckman Young Investigator Program

The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation is accepting Letters of Intent for its 2019 Beckman Young Investigator grant program.

The annual program is intended to provide research support to the most promising young faculty members in the early stages of an academic career in the chemical or life sciences and to foster the invention of methods, instruments, and materials with the potential to open up new avenues of research in science.
