OSRA has issued a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Award Closeout process. This is an essential policy to ensure the institution remains in compliance with all sponsor policies and to mitigate adverse consequences to the institution.  

The SOP outlines the responsibilities of the PI and their Department Staff in preparing closeout materials for internal review and submission. While closeout requirements can vary depending on sponsor and grant type, this document standardizes the process by which all final progress/technical reports and invention statements are to be prepared and submitted to OSRA and the sponsor.

Department staff managing awards for their PIs must review and familiarize themselves with this policy.
