Through a generous commitment, the World Quant Foundation established the WorldQuant Foundation Research Scholar Award to provide endowed funding to outstanding scientists who are building independent research programs. Income from the RSA endowment will allow talented junior investigators the support needed to more thoroughly engage in advancing their research programs.
The WorldQuant RSA welcomes nominations with a preference for research in computational biology or big dataanalysis. Additional eligibility criteria are listed below.

Proposals must be biotechnology focused, show promise for the commercial market, and applicants must have a company collaborator. The maximum amount of the award is $75K for one year, matched to a company’s support. We are also offering a limited number of add-on awards for materials needs for up to $5,000 each, thanks to Cornell’s Center for Materials Research.
The CAT funding awards require collaborative applied research and technology transfer with company partners that will lead to quantifiable economic impact in New York State.
