Proposals must be biotechnology focused, show promise for the commercial market, and applicants must have a company collaborator. The maximum amount of the award is $75K for one year, matched to a company’s support. We are also offering a limited number of add-on awards for materials needs for up to $5,000 each, thanks to Cornell’s Center for Materials Research.
The CAT funding awards require collaborative applied research and technology transfer with company partners that will lead to quantifiable economic impact in New York State.

The Russell Sage Foundation's Visiting Scholars Program provides a unique opportunity for select scholars in the social, economic and behavioral sciences to pursue their research and writing while in residence at the Foundation’s New York headquarters. Criteria: Programs that aim to improve the health of those who are economically disadvantaged, with a focus on cancer, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, diabetes, gastrointestinal or urologic diseases and disorders through any one of these approaches.
