Microbiome Sequencing

The Microbiome Core Lab is located at the Jill Roberts Institute for Research in Inflammatory Bowel Disease of Weill Cornell Medicine. Our core specializes in providing institutional cost-effective, high-throughput processing of biological microbiome samples.

Resources

The core uses Promega Maxwell RSC 48 instrument along with the Promega MaxPrep Liquid Handler for high-throughput DNA extraction.

We use the Hamilton Liquid Handler to achieve high-throughput 16S/Metagenomic processing.

16S Sequencing will be done on the Illumina MiSeq, Paired-End 250

Metagenomic Sequencing will be done on the Illumina HiSeq 2500, Paired-End 150
