This seminar will describe the principles of digital RNA sequencing and the applications of QIAseq Targeted RNA Panels and integrated data analysis packages. These panels facilitate digital RNA sequencing for gene expression analysis on next generation sequencing (NGS) platforms. They provide analysis of 12 to 1000 genes in 2 to 96 samples, with a novel random molecular bar-coding strategy which removes library construction bias and allows for improved data analysis and sequencing optimization. The data from digital RNA sequencing experiments are directly comparable to expression analysis data derived from whole transcriptome sequencing and qPCR, but with increased precision and accuracy.
Speaker: Samuel Rulli, Jr., Ph.D., Qiagen Advanced Genomics
Lunch will be provided.
