Editing the Lab Title, Overview Paragraph and Homepage Image:

On this page, please include a brief overview of your lab and your general mission statement. Approximately 1 paragraph (100 words).

Example: 
The Cantley lab employs a wide range of techniques in its investigation of cancer metabolism and phosphoinositide signaling. From genetically engineered mouse model systems and human cancer cell lines to metabolomic, transcriptomic and proteomic analyses, to the biochemical characterization of enzymes, we use a variety of tools and an interdisciplinary approach to paint a more complete picture of cancer and develop therapies based on novel enzyme targets and other promising new approaches. The Cantley lab is based in New York City at the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center of the Weill Cornell Medical College and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

To add your text to the homepage: 
1.) Click “Customize This Page” at bottom of the page.

3.) A new screen will pop up. Replace the “Your Lab Here” text in the title box with your lab’s name. Remove this text from the “Text” area and paste your content in.
4.) Click “Update Preview” on the right and then “Save.”
5.) You will return to main edit screen. Now click "Save" at bottom of the screen to confirm edits.

If you would like to add your own large photo going across the top of the page 

(example - http://cantleylab.weill.cornell.edu/about-us)

It must be the same size as the current example homepage image – exactly 940x300 pixels.

To add your own photo:

1.  Click “Customize This Page” at bottom of the page.
2. Click square button with gears located above the photo on left.
3. A new screen will pop up. In the left-hand "Content Settings" column, click "Remove" button.
4. Click "Browse," choose the photo to be added and then click "Upload."
5. Add a short 1-sentence caption in both the "Alternate Text" and "Title" fields below the photo.
6. Click “Update Preview” on the right and then “Save.”
7. You will return to main edit screen. Now click "Save" at bottom of the screen to confirm edits.

To delete current photo (without replacing it with a new photo):

1.  Click “Customize This Page” at bottom of the page.
2. Click square button with trash can logo located above the photo on left.
3. A dialogue box will pop up to confirm the change. Click "Ok."
4. You will return to main edit screen. Now click "Save" at bottom of the screen to confirm edits.

In the future, if you would like to add a large photo back after deleting it:

1.  Click “Customize This Page” at bottom of the page.
2. In the “Main Image” box across the top, click the plus sign button (“+”) on the right hand side.
3. A new screen will pop up. Click on “Add Image” in left column.
4. A second new screen will pop up (same screen as homepage image editor). Click “Browse” and choose the photo to be added. Then click “Upload.”
5. Add a short 1-sentence caption in the field below the photo.
6. Click “Update Preview” on the right and then “Save.”
7. You will return to main edit screen. Now click "Save" at bottom of the screen to confirm edits.

Editing the Primary Investigator Quote under the Overview:

To change the text in this area:

1. Click “Customize This Page” at bottom of the page.
2. Click on square button with gears above quote box area.
3. A new screen will pop up. Remove this text from the “Text” area and paste your quote in.
4. Click “Update Preview” on the right and then “Save.”
5. You will return to main edit screen. Now click "Save" at bottom of the screen to confirm edits.

If you would like to completely remove this section:

1. Click “Customize This Page” at bottom of the page.
2. Click on square trash can button above quote box area.
3. A new screen will pop up. Click “OK” to confirm.
4. You will return to main edit screen. Now click "Save" at bottom of the screen to confirm edits.

Editing the “Lab Team” and “Our Research” teasers at the bottom of the page:

Lab Team teaser

This section should include a 1 sentence (approx. 25 words) teaser about your team.

Example: 
The Cantley lab welcomes a diverse set of talents and fosters an interdisciplinary approach in its attempts to translate fundamental scientific discoveries into clinical innovations.

To insert your text:

1. Click “Customize this Page” at bottom of the window.
2. Scroll down to the appropriate box you would like to edit and click the button with the gears logo.
3. Insert your text in the Text field.
4. To change the small photo about the teaser, click "Remove" and then upload the photo you would like to use. If you would not like to have a teaser photo, just click "Remove."
5. Click “Finish.”
6. Click “Save” in the black bar at the bottom of the window to save all changes.

Our Research teaser

This section should include a 1 sentence (approx. 25 words) summarizing your research.

To insert your text:

4. To change the small photo about the teaser, click "Remove" and then upload the photo you would like to use. If you would not like to have a teaser photo, just click "Remove."
