This day-long event will provide postdoctoral fellows and graduate students from the three sponsoring institutions with information about a range of career paths available to PhDs in the biomedical sciences.
The symposium will include a keynote seminar from Melanie Sinche, a guru of PhD career development, and five career panels, each focusing on a different career path. The event will finish with the Tri‑I’s first ever Career Expo.
During the Career Expo, students and postdocs will be able to meet informally with company representatives to learn about: (1) opportunities at different companies, (2) the skill sets and experiences that these companies look for in employees, and (3) the application processes at these companies.
